Prof. Dr. S. Chandrasekaran who completed his B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology , University of Madras in the year 1980 and completed his masters in Computer Science and Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli, INDIA. He was awarded Ph.D degree by Anna University in the area of Fault Tolerant Computing towards Reliability enhancement.
He had worked in the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu in many technical Institutions for 33 years and worked as Professor and HOD in many engineering colleges in the departments of CSE and IT. He has been a professional member in various technical establishments like IEEE, ACM, IETE, IACSIT, IAEngg, WSEAS WASET and ASQ. He is working committee member in many IEEE Standards Associations and a recognized research supervisor of Anna University, Chennai and many deemed universities. He has been serving as member in the program committee, international advisory and review committees of various reputed international and national journals, conferences and their proceedings. He has brought research collaboration agreements with foreign universities with software and hardware grants. He published more than 100 technical papers in reputed journal and conferences abroad and acted as session chairs in Penang in Malaysia, Singapore, Grenoble in France, Bali in Indonesia and Florida in U.S.A in his research career. His active research focuses on formal modeling, design verification, software design and maintenance along with the software qualities like reliability, safety, security, privacy in embedded software and hardware.
He has guided many research projects using Atmel, MicroChip and CYPRESS and Altera and Xilinx products for the design of distributed real time embedded networking and performance validation. He started his initiative to expose the formal modeling and verification using Colored Petri-Nets, CSP, FDR, ALLOY, SUGAR and in rough sets, ROSETTA computational tools. He is working on high performance computing through openCL, CUDA towards multi core programming for scientific and video applications and hardware synthesis.
